:( :( I recieved a phone call just awhile ago from Sharon, John's wife. :( John, AKA- 'The Roofing God'.

He's in the hospital recovering from a stroke he had about 2 weeks ago. I have no progosis to share, but she'll give me a call later today.

Sorry for being the bearer of such bad news, but I'm wishing him the best. I've had a stroke and recovered, but I can assure you, they are no laughing matter and recover takes many forms, not all good. :( :(

(BTW, depending on how I fare over the next few weeks with several invasive and huge surgeries in my future, I may or may not be posting for awhile. If anybody spots my 'fundme posts' on FB, please share them for me, OK? I'll be needing lots of support myself and soon since this follows 22 surgeries over the last 7 years for my wife.)

Sorry to hear about TRG, as well as your own ailments.

Concerns me to hear this kind of news. I've been healthy most all my life so far but I know I'm just lagging behind a little is all. I hope everything works out well for you guys! :)

Sharon called and I had my hands full so maybe I won't get all the details right. I think she said the stroke was Tues, 7-30-14 He had some swelling in the brain which made the option of a groin approach to remove a blot a 'No-Go. Brain swelling is an issue, but not bad enough yet to remove the skullcap. Now, he had a blood clot in one lung and I believe a bladder?? infection. She's trying to get him moved to a nearby rehab center, but if I got my facts right, it's too early. He's already been moved once.

I told her to just expect and prepare for the worst and hope for the best, and not let expectations get in the way. Any results below worse will be reason enough to smile some.

No news from Sharon either way.

AS for myself, made it through first minor operation. Not sure of correct date of the OH operation yet. May have to undergo another minor one first, maybe next week.

I don't do FB, Frank, so I'm not sure what you're talking about there, but I do hope the best for your surgeries. I know it's not your thing, but I'll say a li'l prayer for ya anyways.

:)

Thanks for sharing about John.
