Has any one used any kind of machine to remove foam from a solid concrete roof? I was thinking of a spud machine or something like that. Is Tom the foam guy still around he might know how to remove it?

I bid a 250 square foam tear off earlier this year. It was foamed to the original bur over gyp. I can tell you I figured (with the install) 1 square per roofer per day. We did not get the roof tear off job but did about $10k in repairs instead.

Our company when it was active we did thousands of sqs of foam removal from concrete and wood decks, we tried many ways we would set our roof cutters at what ever depth was necessary cut up the deck into squares then use a Gravely to try to pop he pieces we cut, then the balance of what didn't come off was scraped by hand with a ice scraper, the fortunate part was where the big leak areas were that came up very easy but the other areas were tough going, since we were a commercial roofing contractor we had every tool available to man lol the use of a spudder rotary or barrel would not do the job it would small pieces which had to be vacuumed. ged areas the re foam the deck Most of the SPF contractors would use a scarfer and plane the deck then resurface the yhe deck with foam, I happen to like foam if it is applied and maintained properly it becomes a very good product .
