It's been a while since I put up some more photos. I'll try to post interesting shots more often.
This big 'ole bison bull trapped me in the alcove of a "U" shaped 2 story dorm building. I figured that he'd seen people before, but wondered if he'd seen a bright orange 32' ladder. He got to it just as I stepped back onto the roof, gave it a good "SCHNORT!" and moseyed off.
Maybe the best view of Old Faithful in the park is from the roof of the east wing of the Inn. The crow's nest up on top of the Inn would probably be better, but has trees in the way.

Heading out the Cody gate on top of Sylvan is the only area with more standing snags than green that I've seen. I think it burned only a year or two ago.
The Park and everywhere else I've been this spring and summer is *very* green still. I don't recall it being this green in mid-July ever.
You sure couldn't tell that the economy is tanking judging from how crowded the Park is lately. Room rates at all the gates are sky high and they're still full.>>>
Think they've got enough PolyIso in there?

I don't blame you on fearing that bull. Just when you treat them like grazing cattle, they can turn into a Cape buffalo ready to take on a lion.
