Is there a legit source to turn to for education on handling insurance work/claims?  Have read lots about people claiming to make you rich following their systems but most seem like pie in the sky talk.

In Xactimate you have to change all roofing line items from DMO to RFG. That will add thousands. They will push back but I have excerpts from Xactimate user agreement to help. The insured will need to submit it to the adjuster, otherwise it would be a UPPA violation (Texas).

Would you be willing to discuss directly?

Pretty easy, just provide honest estimates and they will get paid with littel push back from the carriers. If you are looking to jump your profit margins on the back of the carriers, aint gonna happen. They are all pushing back.

If you're working with an honest underwriter with an honest adjuster that model would be great.  We provide honest estimates every day but the adjusters throw back Xactimate reports that are completed by a 3rd party telling people what they will pay.  We live in a rural area in the mountains.  The only difference between my operations/overhead expenses and those in a metropolitan city is likely the cost of rent/property.  Other than that, my Utilities, Insurance, Fuel, Automobiles, equipment, supplies, monthly cost of online services and programs that we use online services for (ie:  quickbooks, xactimate, CRM), membrerships to industry groups, etc. are all the same.  However, Xactimate wants to pay nearly $100/sq less in our zip for the same exact job than it does in a more metro zip.  I just want to make that same fair/honest wage but as the next contractor but the insurance industry nearly makes that impossible unless you are able to game the system (in their words).  The only way the adjusters will pay a reasonable wage around here is to go thru the supplement process.  Some adjusters and agents get pissed when you start bringing in suppliments but it's the only fair, honest and reasonable if you want to earn your fair share.
