How Many Is To Many?

Is this overkill? This roof is in Florida so it's not for snow. If it was for wind wouldn't it be wrapped around the bottom. It was really ugly in person. Please educate me!

Old School

If mit is real slate, it is thick, but then again they have to abide by the Miami-Dade wind uplift rules and the clips are to hold the slates on the roof. I am sure they are nailed too. In a lot of Europe, the slates are clipped like that, but they have different kinds of slips. It works!

I think it was real slate, too bad I didn't take a shot of the edge. There was real slate all over the place but this does look a little too perfect I must admit.

So what do you think?
