I applied for a partime job as a mystery shopper lol nuttin to do all day so I thought I would go out to stores an meet the public lol Well I was surprised when they sent me an email saying that I was accepted and they laid out a plan for me to follow. This monday I received the literature and instructions on what store I should hit and talk to the salesclerks, however enclosed was a cashiers check for $2000 which they wanted me to deposit in my bank and one day later withdraw the 2000 take out my commission of 180 and proceed to a list of stores and purchase money cards for a total of 1800 and scratch the pin numbers and send the numbers back to the supplier so they could csah and send the money to various charities I cracked up at their letter I check the bank wi hich the cashiers ck was drawn on , but they claimed that since the new banking laws were in effect they were not able to say whether or not the check was good .his scammer may have thought he was dealing with and old fool, so I sent him a text saying that my bank would not honor his cashiers check and he should send me the cash in c/o Walmart so far not a word Tomorrow since the paper work was sent by the US post office overnight delivery I shall make a visit to the fraud division of the US Post office and see what happens look at all the fun I'm having in my golden years lol If I could I'd be on a deck some where rolling out some felt of hot mopping a few sqs or so lol B)

I got a very similar email, saying that the person in need of a roof is "deaf" and can only text.

At first I thought that it was for real.

After texting back and forth, I realized that something was up, the responses where very generic.

Does anyone know how this scam is designed to work?
