That would be tough no doubt to deal with every Sunday. He ought to try roofing every day with it.

No. It's inflammation of the pad of tissue under the foot, the sole if you will, and is usually worse where it wraps around the heel. Small tears occur there. Makes it painful to walk or even put any weight on it. Very unpleasant.
