Any build cone roofs?

We did an addition several years back and in the process we got to build this cone entrance to match another on the house. I had roofed the building about 18 years ago with tile and made this one match the old. Pretty neat project!

It is concrete tile. I have never seen Madonna's nipple, but I suppose if you have seen one, you have seen them both.

I installED grace I& W over the whole thing before I installed the tiles. It is a chore to try and keep everything breaking correctly. As far as trying to cut all of the pieces when you roof one, make a jig for it. Here is the article I wrote last year about roofing them.

How does that not leak? I see several joints over joints on that roof. Are you relying on base paper under it? I'm no tile guy so I'm just curious as to what keeps it dry

yes,when I framed in NC we built high end mostly.all stick built. I've built half radius,with rooftop and ceiling, suited. I've biult many octagonal and conical. the octagonals,when I worked for others were A bitch.the laed would want to cut the rafters to form fit.it was so burdening. then when I started to frame for myself I woild get A 6x6.cut the corners off of it to make it identical on 8 sides.I would then cut it's height from the top of the ceiling joist to the proper rise and have the best support and work face to attach the rafters to.
