I know this is not the first company to offer web-based measuring services. Has anyone used one of these succesfully?
I like the line "The software then generates a report that includes total square footage as well as data on the buildings' various rides and valleys">>>
One of my biggest advertisers does it. I would just be plain wrong if I didn't mention it http://www.eagleview.com. They are different because they can get the pitch. Pretty impressive. (That'll be $25.00 dollars please for the plug) :cheer:>>>
I sometimes use aerial photos or even Google Streetview to check out a house before I visit, but I've never tried on of these measuring programs instead of a site visit and don't think I would- too many details could be missed in my opinion.>>>
This is the Zillow aerial that I just used to get a rough estimate.

I cleaned the house roof last week and they wanted an estimate for the barn and arena. With all the landscaping, you don't get a clear view of the barn and the perception is that it's about the same size as the house, but with the aerial view, I could tell it was about 20% smaller.>>>
I have used it once, it was nice but unfortunately it fails to be able to find most of the houses I want measured...hit and miss, if it will work for you it is accurate and a great tool for selling...but you can't rely on it as a "method"....
