Put Technology at the Forefront in your Business

RCS Influencer Trent Cotney says businesses need to update and consider changing the way they operate to gain an edge through technology.

Most law firms operate the same way they did 10 or 20 years ago, but that is not the case for Cotney Construction Law. Technology is constantly at the forefront at Cotney Construction Law, which is growing rapidly. Technology plays an integral role in our company’s transparency and communication with each other and our clients.

Over the past six months alone, Cotney Construction Law has successfully implemented and upgraded its voice over IP phone technology. In addition, we have implemented an answering service to help us account for all incoming calls should our internal customer service representatives be on the phone. We want to provide current and potential clients with the time and customer service they deserve, so the answering service provides us with a parachute and the assurances that we are answering the phone at all times. Our auto-attendant phone feature allows phone traffic to be better directed to the appropriate areas in our multi-state law firm.

Our customer relationship management (CRM) system is a key component to Cotney Construction Law’s mission to redefine the construction law firm experience for both clients and employees. There are a plethora of CRMs to choose from. We recently implemented and are utilizing one that is built for law firms, but also allows our company to provide our clients with exceptional communication, follow-up and record-keeping. It is playing a key role as we scale.

Cotney Construction Law is on the verge of launching a new website that will be even more user-friendly than our current site. The site is easy on the eyes and heavy on content our construction industry clients value and find helpful. The site allows customers to contact us via web form should they not wish to contact us via e-mail.

We invest a substantial amount of time and resources in search engine optimization in an effort to help construction professionals who need our services find our uniquely qualified construction law firm. In addition, Cotney Construction Law also has established itself as an authority in the construction industry with the presence we’ve secured on social media, namely Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. But like most technology, these assets are only as good as the time you put into them. Our law firm deems it important and is reaping the benefits.

These are just a few of the technological advances our law firm has taken in recent months, and we have more coming. Cotney Construction Law embraces technology and attributes much of it to its law firm’s ability to consistently grow, succeed and redefine what law firms are perceived to be vs. what they can be for our construction business partners.
