What if you could seamlessly work while going to school for free? At WTI, this is a real possibility for young professionals. Their apprenticeship program offers benefits like this and much more. To highlight some favorite parts of the program and working for WTI, Gaetano Mastroianni describes his experience with the company.
Gaetano Mastroianni is a General Services Manager at WTI. He oversees jobs being performed in the north, northeast and middle regions of the U.S. He is a fourth-generation roofer and owned his own roofing company. After an accident, he continued to work in the roofing industry, gaining estimating and project management experience. Now, he works for WTI and loves it. Gaetano says, “I think it offers a wide array of opportunities for all employees and allows individuals to start a career here with an industry leader. [They also get] the chance to work and receive an education simultaneously.”
One thing that WTI has reminded him of is that there are endless opportunities in the roofing world. “When people think about roofing most of the time... they think manual labor, they think the field operations part,” Gaetano starts. “But there are so many other things. Obviously, I started in the field myself. I got myself into sales. So, sales is a big career path. There is estimating; there is safety. Tremco is a manufacturer so you can get into manufacturing and understand everything there.”
A lifetime of fulfillment is possible through WTI. That’s what Gaetano loves about the company. He says his favorite part of the job is working with all the departments and learning from the experts. Gaetano hasn’t passed up an opportunity to learn. And he says the WTI apprenticeship program is one of the best ways to further yourself in the industry.
