Veteran Founds Roof Rescue Program in North Carolina

GAF Veteran Founds Roof Rescue Program
January 3, 2021 at 6:00 a.m.

By Karen L. Edwards, RCS Editor.

Roof Rescue plans to donate one roof every year to a deserving member of the community.

Army veteran Jordan Cox is the owner of Roof Medic in Charlotte, North Carolina. He served as an army combat medic where he developed a passion for helping others. He continues to feed that passion of helping through his roofing company which he founded on the belief that he could create a more personal experience for homeowners in need of a roofing company, reported the Mint Hill Times.

His business model built on relationships and helping others has led to tremendous success and growth. He set a goal to create personal relationships with homeowners to ensure that the experience of getting a new roof would be easy and painless. Jordan also is an expert in helping homeowners who have experienced damaged roofs due to storms work through their insurance companies to repair or replace the damaged roof.

Jordan writes on the Roof Medic website, “I had the opportunity of helping hundreds of soldiers involved in traumatic events. This made a major impact in my life. During my years working in the roofing industry, I consistently witnessed the difficulty and often frustration homeowners experienced when hiring a roofing contractor, especially through the insurance claims process. The more I learned about the process, I quickly became one of the most respected and knowledgeable in the industry, specializing in Storm Recovery.”

He and his wife always knew that they wanted to give back but were unsure of what that would look like until this year when they decided to start their Roof Rescue program and partner with shingle manufacturer GAF to provide a new roof at no cost to a deserving community member. They involve the team members at Roof Medic who work to build a list of nominees and the community can nominate someone through the company’s website. The 2020 recipient was a veteran and active firefighter who is very involved with the community.

Do you know of someone in the industry who is ‘doing good deeds’ in their community? Help us catch them at it. Send news and information to info@rooferscoffeeshop.com.
