It is hard to believe it has been a month since we announced the catastrophic news of the fire at our plant. It has been a very long, and very short 30 days, as we have worked through fire department, insurance company and city meetings.
We remain grateful that no one was injured, but our hope for a temporary solution to restart production will not happen until sometime next year. Our owner continues to investigate options, but unfortunately, we are forced to make layoffs.
It is with a heavy heart that I announce this will be my last official communication for United Asphalts.
It has been a privilege to lead the sales and marketing initiatives for this great organization for the past seven years. We accomplished some amazing results the past few years as we expanded our reach domestically and internationally. I am especially grateful for the exposure across our great country where I was able to meet and work with some incredible people.
My United Asphalts family is who I am most thankful for and will miss tremendously. Brad and Janelle thank you for your trust! Josh, thank you for your dedication. And to the entire United Asphalts family, I pray that only good things are ahead for each of you.
For additional information please reach out to corporate.
Sincerely,
Bud Polston, executive vice president sales and marketing
