Trent Cotney, P.A. Publishes OSHA Defense Book

OSHA Defense for the Construction Industry seeks to impart knowledge on professionals in the construction industry so that potential pitfalls can be avoided during the OSHA inspection and citation process.

Tampa, Florida – The second biggest threat to the construction industry is the unchecked expansion of regulatory agencies. Recent government expansion has granted the Occupational Safety & Health Administration (OSHA) the authority it needs to single-handedly put contractors out of business through targeting, and repeat or excessive fines. OSHA no longer focuses solely on employee safety, but has morphed into a massive government agency that is equally concerned about perpetuating itself through collection of citation dollars. Instead of protecting the employees and workers within the construction industry, there have been numerous instances of constitutional violations, entrapment, and illegal and aggressive inspection tactics utilized by OSHA’s inspectors, assistant area directors, and regional offices.

“This book is designed to help contractors know and understand their rights,” says Trent Cotney, Board Certified Construction Lawyer and co-author to OSHA Defense for the Construction Industry.

OSHA Defense for the Construction Industry is an overview of common issues generally encountered by contractors when dealing with OSHA. The goal of this publication is for contractors to gain or further their understanding of the basic process and procedures before, during, and after an OSHA inspection, as well as fully understand their rights in the event of an OSHA citation.

OSHA Defense for the Construction Industry is now available for sale at www.Amazon.com and several other retail locations.
