With over 15 years of experience, Excel Roofing in British Columbia aims to be their community’s go-to contractor for roof repairs, installation and maintenance! Their team of dedicated, hard-working individuals works towards this goal by providing quality products and services on every job. Excel Roofing takes on both commercial and residential products and they have made sure their team of experienced roofers have the knowledge and training to execute every project in a professional, safe and timely manner.
Thedy Joseph, one of Excel’s roofers, explained how training works in the company, “For training we have two separate sections. One is for physical training we have a regiment at our warehouse, and after that we have the skill training. So, it’s about all the details around skylights, around plumber flashing and so forth.” In addition to this, Excel Roofing works to foster friendly competition to help their employees test their skills and keep improving after training. Thedy shared, “We also have competition, like who is going to install one bundle of shingles faster... We do a lot of competition that's how we can prove ourselves.”
In addition to making sure their team is well trained and equipped for any job, Excel Roofing makes sure that high-quality products are used for each project. This is why they use IKO Industry’s Dynasty shingles. Thedy explained, “When I first started 10 years ago, I used to install Cambridge, but when Dynasty came... Dynasty was the shingle I wanted to provide. It is the minimum standard for Excel Roofing.” Not only does the Dynasty shingle offer better wind resistance and warranties, features like the double strip nail zone on the back make it much easier for roofers like Thedy to install efficiently and effectively.
