Top RCS articles of 2023

From new products and changing energy codes, to ice dams and giving back, here are the top ten articles of the year, based on what resonated most with our RCS readers. 

2023 was a big year for the Coffee Shops. Our sister-site MetalCoffeeShop® celebrated its one-year anniversary and we launched our newest site CoatingsCoffeeShop™. Through it all, content from our incredible crew and industry partners have been filling our newsroom. Looking back at the top ten of these articles gives us an interesting window into the past year — what has happened, what has changed, what trends have emerged and more. 

One noticeable trend in 2023’s top ten articles was the giving back efforts of our community. Whether it's CIEF and PABCO Roofing Products supporting a high school training program or free educational materials from Trent Cotney of Adams and Reese about how to navigate legal areas of the industry, we were struck by how our industry truly looks out for each other and their surrounding communities. 

The top story of the year highlights SRS Distribution’s annual Raise the Roof Foundation Charity Concert at the 2023 International Roofing Expo (IRE). Writer Evelyn Witterholt shared details of the concert while highlighting the excitement and fun that this community event fosters! This concert truly encapsulates the SRS mission statement of “Make Money, Have Fun and Give Back” and displays how our industry is looking out for each other with proceeds going to disaster relief, veteran care and more.
