RCS is a proud member of National Women in Roofing (NWIR) and we love highlighting the many ways the organization gives back to the community. One of our most read articles from last month was a profile by Dani Sheehan about their latest charity work in Seattle on She Build Day. The NWIR teamed up with multiple companies in the roofing industry to build a new roof for an elderly woman, free of charge.
With building construction on the rise, many contractors are looking for expertise on low-slope roofing. A popular article from our newsroom last month was a piece highlighting the resources Commercial Distribution Specialists (CDS) locations have to offer. CDS is a designation given to SRS Distribution locations that focus on low-slope roofing products. Each location offers a variety of services including product selection, delivery services and territory manager support.
Our most-read article from last month was a piece on SkillsUSA 2024 by our Editor, Lauren White. This year marks the second time there has been a roofing competition for students. Plus, the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA) built The Roofing Pavilion, a two-story interactive booth where attendees could learn about the craft of roofing!
