On a recent episode of the Roofing Road Trips podcast, Heidi J. Ellsworth sat down with Patrick Fingles, CEO of Leap, to discuss their acquisition of JobProgress and how productivity management programs can benefit contractors. Leap and JobProgress have joined together to create the ultimate platform user experience for contractors.
Patrick told Heidi about the apprehension smaller companies and individuals feel when it comes to software programs. “I think a lot of people, we always hear this thing, we're not ready yet. We're not ready for that yet,” he said. However, the size of the company or the number of projects currently open doesn’t matter. Even the smallest of task loads could benefit from such programs.
JobProgress and Leap give users the ability to streamline their usual activities by creating useful templates that help with managing things like their sales or even production process. With the right digital tools like these programs, any growth goal is possible.
Patrick pointed out the benefits of implementing these basic automation tools at any stage in a contractor’s business. “If you think about all the things that the technology does for you, it allows you to then just focus on hiring the right people, generating a lead, and then making sure the install goes well,” Patrick shared. “So, you can focus on that, and that's what scales businesses, not sitting there doing paperwork or writing contracts or ordering materials. The more of that you can automate, the more you can focus on the key areas, which is more leads, better installs.”
