In a recent Lunch & Learn, Heidi J. Ellsworth sits down with Travis Harvego and Mike Goldstein from Roofle to learn about the future of roofing. They share how to take roofing sales into the digital space and how to get started incorporating eCommerce into your business. Grab your team, your lunch and dive into the digital roofing sales process.
For their first learning objective, they discuss eCommerce in roofing. Mike sets the stage, saying, “Let’s work with the specific definition that a roof in this case would be purchased 100% entirely online without a salesperson going out to the job site. And that's why we talk in terms of the pathway to eCommerce, because we're not there yet.”
Roofle is meant to help with this pathway. Mike continues, “Our purpose is to equip local contractors to be able to handle that transition. We know that 80% of adults in America are already doing eCommerce, shopping, online, making transactions daily... Now we're clearly on a pathway to where the consumer who's already been conditioned to make buying decisions online, entirely online and making large transactions.”
Travis talks about the software that contractors can install on their website or use in the field. He explains, “So, it all starts with number one, converting leads on your website, giving the consumer ultimately really what they want, which is some sort of price, which is really what they want when they come to shop for a project. Where do I start? What's this going to cost? What should I budget for?”
