Often, being a flat roof installer can literally cost workers an arm and a leg. The constant up-and-down movement can take a toll on their bodies, causing achy joints, bad knees and back pain. Being a flat roof installer does not have to come with these physical afflictions though! SFS's Isoweld induction welding system helps prevent these kinds of damaging-movements while also making quick work of a point-secured low slope roof membrane installation.
The Isoweld is created to point-secure TPO, PVC and KEE membrane to stress plates with pre-applied, highly engineered adhesives on them. It is extremely secure and efficient, with a plate finding function integrated into the tool. This plate finding function limits the ability of the installer to accidentally perform a “false positive weld" — a false positive being securement points where the tool is not sufficiently aligned over the target plate and does not create a secure weld. The tool is also equipped with technology that constantly monitors the membrane surface/ ambient temperature to help protect you and your project. To set up the tool, you only need to select the membrane type and thickness and perform a one step calibration process. With a quick and reliable set-up process, the installer is able to start securing membrane in a matter of seconds!
The Isoweld comes in several different forms: The stand-up tool and backpack tool. These two styles will cover all your needs when it comes to fastening down your TPO, PVC, or KEE membrane. Say goodbye to back pain with the Isoweld System! The stand-up tool and the backpack are predominantly operated in a comfortable standing position that will help avoid movements that are hard on the body like hunching and unnecessary bending. Both forms are also equipped with a handheld inductor for making welds in tight spaces. The backpack combines the handheld inductor with a telescoping handle attachment as the primary means for making secure welds. These different styles are made to overcome numerous complications from tight spaces to bumpy obstacles on the roof. With both its physical design and ease of operation, using the Isoweld is like riding a bike!
