“The IRE not only provides a global marketplace and unparalleled opportunity for learning but supports the organizations responsible for moving the industry forward,” commented Tracy Garcia, CEM, Show Director of the IRE Expo. “We are excited to continue fostering relationships with National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA), National Women in Roofing (NWIR), and Rebuilding Together through various events and activities at the IRE”.
The 2019 IRE will host our 10th Annual Community Service Day in partnership with Rebuilding Together Nashville. The mission is simple, “Repairing homes, revitalizing communities, rebuilding lives;” the work is not. We are incredibly grateful for our sponsors who support with this incredible day. Sika Sarnafil has been the primary sponsor since the inception of the IRE Community Service Day. Additional contributors include Carlisle Construction, Polyset, OMG Roofing Products, Damato Enterprises, and, Don Kennedy Roofing Co. If you would like to get involved with this amazing event, please contact Brandi McElhaney at 972.536.6392.
This year the IRE continued its support of the NRCA’s National Roofing Week Children’s Art Contest by providing free Conference Super Passes to the relatives of the winners. This is always a highlight of National Roofing Week, held every summer, that promotes awareness of the importance of having a roof and the importance of professional roofing contractors to grade school-age children.
The IRE also supports the NRCA ROOFPAC, the voice of the roofing industry in Washington, D.C. The NRCA ROOFPAC special event will be held on Sunday, February 10th at the Country Music Hall of Fame Extravaganza. The NRCA booth will be hosting a silent auction this year and IRE has donated a 2020 IRE Dallas Package for two consisting of two (2) airline tickets up to $400 in value, two (2) Super Passes for the conference, and two (2) hotel rooms for three (3) nights each at the 2020 IRE in Dallas, TX.
The IRE is also a supporter of NRCA’s Roofing Day in D.C. 2019, which will be held April 3-4! The purpose of the event is to bring the roofing industry together in Washington, D.C., to meet with members of Congress and their staffs and deliver the industry's message with "one voice." Roofing contractors are encouraged to bring one or more standout crew members to help share the industry's story. Congress needs to hear from all segments of the industry! Learn more at www.nrca.net/roofingday and plan to join NRCA for this momentous event!
Another way the IRE shows support of the industry is by being a Gold Sponsor for National Women in Roofing (NWIR), a volunteer-based organization dedicated to the empowerment of women in the roofing industry. The second annual NWIR Day will be taking place Saturday, February 9th and is expected to draw women from every facet of the roofing industry. New this year is the creation of a pilot program of a scholarship for four women to attend NWIR Day and the IRE. “Just as the IRE contributes to the professionalism of the roofing industry by providing opportunities for continuing education, NWIR also contributes to the industry by providing professional development opportunities for the empowerment of women in the roofing industry. We are so grateful to the IRE for their support of NWIR, NWIR Day, and our pilot scholarship program,” said Shari Carlozzi Executive Committee Chair of NWIR. “The IRE’s Gold Sponsorship supports the scholarship which includes roundtrip airfare to Nashville, a free Conference Super Pass for the 2019 IRE, a complimentary pass to NWIR day, a hotel room for three (3) nights, and NWIR mentoring support throughout the show.”
