Tuning in to Mule-Hide's philanthropic efforts and company values at FRSA 2024.

At the 2024 Florida Roofing and Sheet Metal Contractors Association (FRSA) expo, Heidi J. Ellsworth spoke with John Pantesco from Mule-Hide on the RoofersCoffeeShop® Sound Stage. In this conversation, the two discuss Mule-Hide's educational and philanthropic efforts.

Not only does Mule-Hide offer their customers a wide range of high-quality low-slope roofing products, but they offer specialized training to contractors as well. Supporting the roofing industry's growth through educating the next generation of roofers has been an important initiative for the brand. “What we do is we try to make our contractors better,” said John. “We're focusing on our training facility, which is here in Orlando, Florida. We bring in hundreds of people, not only contractors, but ABC Supply people, our people and train them on the newest things that are going on in the industry and its hands on.”

While at FRSA, the Mule-Hide team showcased their top products at their booth on the trade show floor. Mule-Hide's constant goal is to provide contractors with the proper educational resources and training to help build them into the most capable and successful contractors possible.

In addition to their educational efforts, Mule-Hide is passionate about giving back to their community. One such philanthropy is the Homes for Our Troops charity, which provides free roof repairs and replacements for veterans across the nation. John shared, “One of our core values is to give back. American Pride is one of those. And we provided, with ABC Supply and Memorial Day weekend for the Indianapolis 500. We raised $5.2 million for Homes for Our Troops.”

Internally, Mule-Hide extends their support for veterans through their hiring process. “We hire hundreds and thousands of veterans every year, and we put our money where our mouth is. That's one of the core values that sticks out for us,” said John.
