Texas Traditions Roofing, a family owned, residential and commercial roofing company serving Central Texas, provided scholarships for the second year in a row to several area youth, allowing them to participate in the fall 2021 recreational soccer league.
"Giving back to the youth and families in our community is very important to us," said Gary Emory, co-founder of Texas Traditions Roofing. “We have been fortunate to have the support of the community for our business and giving back is one of the best ways we can thank our community for that support."
The soccer league promotes team building, skill development and sportsmanship for the youth emphasizing fun, friendship, sportsmanship and learning over winning and losing. Every child has the opportunity to play.
“Being part of a team and learning these fundamental skills will stay with these children as they grow and help them be successful throughout their entire lives. It’s an honor to help them experience teamwork,” added Emory.
The soccer season for Georgetown youth kicked off September 11 and ran through the end of October. Texas Traditions Roofing attended the opening weekend and provided complimentary bottled water for the participants.
