Stormseal Announces New Training Centers in Raleigh, North Carolina and Mukwonago, Wisconsin

Stormseal New Training Centers
June 25, 2019 at 2:00 p.m.

The new training centers join Amarillo, Texas and Orlando, Florida with all training certifications issued through ENSA North America.

Stormseal is an innovative, patented, Australian product now being manufactured in the United States that is designed to provide emergency storm damage protection for homes and businesses.  The company is very pleased about the expansion of training locations into Wisconsin and North Carolina.  Their nationally recognized course covers theoretical and practical aspects of installing Stormseal together with a refreshment of Residential Rooftop Safety.

During the course, Stormseal will assist contractors in developing safe work procedures and determining risk factors for performing product installations while working at height. This course will enable you to comply with current OSHA requirements, with successful trainees receiving a certificate of completion.

The installation at heights training is focused on Stormseal film installation together with fall prevention rather than fall arrest. It is designed to equip workers with the knowledge and skills to safely install Stormseal in any height situation.

Courses include:

  • Training conducted by a Stormseal-approved Height Safety Specialist
  • One 10-hour day of training. Up to 8 trainees per course. A typical course runs from 8:00 am - 5:00 pm
  • Knowledge on relevant legislation and national standards for working at height
  • Recommendations and advice for specialized PPE and equipment for your particular workplace
  • Advice on risk control methods for the type of work at height to be undertaken
  • Plenty of practical, hands-on training to ensure workers can be safe at height
  • Receive a nationally recognized Stormseal accredited installer card
  • Train on Stormseal purpose-built simulators
  • Gain access to Stormseal’s proprietary online ordering system
  • FP1001-Residential Rooftop Safety

The FP1001-Residential Rooftop Safety class is a prerequisite requirement to take FP2001-Stormseal and is specific to residential roofers operating on both low- and steep-slope residential rooftops.  It addresses the work at height training and educational needs of the employer and employee whose livelihood depends on being safe. This one-day training focuses on the underpinning knowledge of work at height fall protection and risk mitigation focusing on the need to fully understand, identify, and address the potential hazards associated with the task.  Students will be instructed concerning personal fall protection equipment, fall arrest systems, and the importance of fall protection and rescue planning for residential rooftop environments.
