SRS Bringing Journey to the International Roofing Expo

SRS Journey to IRE
January 15, 2020 at 2:00 p.m.

By Karen L. Edwards, RCS Editor.

The concert will raise money for the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation.

If you are planning to attend the International Roofing Expo in Dallas, February 4 – 6, 2020 there is one event you will want to put on your calendar – the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation Charity Concert. The event is Wednesday, February 5 from 5 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Gilley’s Dallas and features Journey as the headliner. Opening performances will come from southern rock band Blackberry Smoke and The Wildflowers, a Tom Petty Tribute Band. There will also be a special VIP guest speaker that SRS assures us you won’t want to miss.

Ticket prices start at $50 per person and there are also opportunities to purchase meet and greet and photo VIP packages. Food and drinks are included! Gilley’s Dallas is just a short walk from the convention center and also has ample parking. SRS will also be operating shuttles beginning at 5 p.m. from their Extreme Tailgate Party area outside the convention center over to Gilley’s.

The SRS Extreme Tailgate Party is something to visit when you need a break from the show floor. It gives visitors a chance to enjoy a beer and a cigar, while meeting and networking with the SRS management team in a relaxed and inviting atmosphere.

All proceeds from the concert go directly to support the SRS Raise the Roof Foundation. Established in 2012, the Raise the Roof Foundation supports charities focused on veterans, disaster relief, and the communities where SRS operates. They explain on their website that the Raise the Roof Foundation has dedicated a majority of the funds raised through donations or fund-raising activities to causes and organizations that support both our armed forces and disaster relief efforts.

It’s certainly a win-win situation! A night of food, drinks and great music along with a VIP speaker all while supporting a worthy cause.
