SOPREMA Simplifies SOPRASMART Line

The company announced name changes to improve the understanding of the products in the marketplace.

In a recent announcement, SOPREMA said that in their continued efforts to improve their product lines for customers, they decided to simplify their SOPRASMART laminated boards line. They report that the three main changes are:

• Introduction of the 2-1 and 3-1 nomenclature for SOPRASMART products, indicating the makeup of the product;

• Elimination of numbers and many irrelevant suffixes in names; and

• Simplification of data sheets combining flam and sanded versions into one, simple, easy-to-read sheet.

The company reports that the product continues to provide the same powerful waterproofing protection, describing their SOPRASMART laminated boards family as “products whose characteristics, due to SOPREMA’s exclusive lamination technology, are synonymous with speed, quality, durability and efficiency.”

An updated product sell sheet provides six options of SOPRASMART board all available in flam or sanded variations. They include the SOPRABOARD, SOPRASMART ISO HD, SOPRASMART ROCK, SOPRASMART ROCK HD and SOPRASMART BOARD.  Each one includes a brief description and photos for easy identification of each product.

Each one still features the patented DUO-SELVEDGE technology that protects the system components beneath the base ply during heat welding, provides an immediate bond and requires only 40 percent to be welded because of the partially self-adhered lap.
