WADSWORTH, Ohio —Soprema, Inc., a leader in the roofing, waterproofing, wall protection and civil engineering industries, announces the launch of a new product, COLPLY® EF for ribbon application. The moisture cured, solvent free, polymeric adhesive is applied in ribbons as a solution to allow for the venting of vapor pressure and the migration of trapped moisture from light-weight insulating concrete.
COLPLY EF for ribbon application is packaged in cartridges, which will allow for the product to easily be applied in ribbons. The new application process will allow for the partial attachment of the SBS membrane or vapor retarder to address any concerns of blistering or issues caused by trapped moisture. COLPLY EF is low odor and requires no hot torching, making it ideal for many applications with odor and heat restrictions, such as schools, hospitals and apartments.
“The ability to apply COLPLY EF in ribbons is just another way Soprema has created solutions that are needed within the industry,” said Matt Davis, product manager, Soprema. “The unique process will easily allow for venting to avoid trapped moisture and the structural damage that accompanies it resulting in an easier-to-use product and alleviating problems many contractors typically see in these applications.”
COLPLY EF can be applied by loading 5-gallon pails into a gravity fed applicator, or by using the new cartridge packaging for use in the same battery powered applicator or multi-bead applicator commonly used for DUOTACK® products.
COLPLY EF Meets FM, UL, FBC, Miami-Dade and South Coast Air Quality Management District regulations.
