SOPREMA, Inc., a leader in the roofing, waterproofing, wall protection and civil engineering industries, has released a new timesaving product option for roofing and waterproofing contractors: ALSAN® RS Pre-Cut Fleece. ALSAN RS Fleece—a proprietary nonwoven polyester reinforcement used in ALSAN RS PMMA applied waterproofing membrane applications—was previously only available to roofing contractors in a roll format. Now, ALSAN RS Fleece can also be purchased in pre-cut detail kits intended for use with large and small pipe penetrations and inside and outside corner installations.
With ALSAN RS Pre-Cut Fleece, contractors can now expedite project timelines by no longer spending valuable time cutting fleece during installation. They can also reduce waste associated with unusable fleece scraps, while reducing the opportunity for cutting-related errors.
When used with ALSAN RS flashing products, ALSAN RS Pre-Cut Fleece provides a cost-effective and easy-to-apply means of addressing difficult detailing and irregular shapes encountered when waterproofing a roof. The result is a seamless, watertight, puncture-resistant, fully reinforced flashing system over SBS-modified bitumen or SENTINEL® PVC membranes.
“We are continuously looking for ways to help contractors do more in less time with less waste, especially in the face of an industry labor shortage,” said Tom Stuewe, product manager from SOPREMA. “ALSAN RS Pre-Cut Fleece is our latest release consistent with this goal, and we anticipate roofing system installers will find it to be an even more convenient version of a product they already trust.”
ALSAN RS Pre-Cut Fleece is available for purchase today. For more information on the product or other SOPREMA roofing system components, visit www.soprema.us.
