Wadsworth, Ohio — Soprema®, a leader in the roofing, waterproofing, wall protection and civil engineering industries, hosted a grand opening event for their new resin production plant at the company’s Wadsworth, Ohio, campus on the evening of February 21, 2018. The event featured a chance for customers, partners and others to enjoy food, drink, live music, networking and in-depth tours of the new facility.
The new 21,600-square-foot building located at 310 Quadral Drive is already being used for state-of-the-art manufacturing of resin for roofing and waterproofing products, offering shorter lead times and additional products for customers across North America. The plant has also already resulted in new jobs for the community and will continue to benefit the area in the coming months and years.
Soprema is taking immediate advantage of the new facility not only from a production standpoint, but for training, as well. The grand opening celebration was surrounded by a variety of product demonstrations, educational courses and tours of the SBS production line for visiting contractors, consultants and architects. Attendees had the chance to learn about the company and its products, see product demonstrations and gain hands-on experience with various materials.
“The opening of our new resin production facility showcases our dedication to not only growing the solutions portfolio and the level of service we offer our customers, but to growing our positive impact on the greater Wadsworth community,” says Tim Kersey, VP/GM, Soprema. “We look forward to expanding our employee base alongside our expanding line of high-performance roofing and waterproofing resin systems.”
The new Soprema manufacturing plant is now the fourth facility in operation at the Wadsworth campus and the fourth Soprema manufacturing facility in the U.S.
