Editor's note: The following is an important letter from the NRCA.
The past few days have brought a great deal of uncertainty to our members. This is particularly true for those concerned about the “essential worker” or “essential business” designations coming from their state and local governments. Today, NRCA led an industrywide effort to send a letter to President Trump asking the administration to provide clear guidance to the states regarding what an essential industry and essential worker is. We made the case clear that the roofing industry should specifically be cited in any guidance as essential. That letter is available by clicking here.
The letter also has been provided to each regional, state and local NRCA affiliate with permission to use as a template to communicate this message to their state governments.
As always, NRCA will continue to advocate for the needs of our members, and rest assured we are working as hard as we can on your behalf.
Sincerely,
Reid Ribble
NRCA CEO
