Originally developed for industrial use, SureCoat’s single-ply roofing formula has been reformulated to meet the needs of residential and commercial real estate properties.
The material emits 93 percent of heat with a reflectivity rating of 81 percent – after three years of aging in Florida, Ohio and Arizona. The perm rating of .019 is outstanding and is leaving chemists surprised as they have never seen a material with such a low water pickup.
The product has a high solid content of 65 percent by volume (81 percent by weight), leaving 10.426 dry mils per gallon per square. It leaves almost twice as much material on the roof as compared to most single-ply roofing coatings which are only 35 – 50 percent solids by volume and 5.6 to 8 dry mils. It also features a 398 percent elongation that allows it to be able to move without becoming brittle or susceptible to tears.
The SureCoat Roof Reconditioning System is a fluid, cold-applied monolithic membrane that is self-adhered, self-flashing and self-priming. It can be used over any type of existing system including single-ply, metal, existing BUR and SPF.
