As a freelance writer working with RoofersCoffeeShop® this summer, I have been exploring the vast world of roofing.  I’ve had fun checking out Sashco’s YouTube channel and learning about all the amazing things this company does with their sealants and caulking products.  Since 1936, Sashco has been a leader in high-performance sealants, caulks, and finishing products.  This innovative company specializes in products for conventional home construction and log and wood homes.  It’s obvious they know what they’re talking about, but also love what they’re doing!

My generation likes instant gratification and multi-use products.  Through the Roof! is great because it works to seal any outside household leak, and it works on wet surfaces.  Repairs can be done instantly, without waiting for the roof to dry.  Its excellent adhesion sticks to most roofing surfaces and it is durable enough to stay sealed in hot and cold temperatures and in rain and snow, without freezing.  This adhesive expands and contracts with temperature changes without cracking or pulling away and lasts 20 times longer than an asphalt patch. And, it’s clear, unlike asphalt that shows people where the leaks and problem areas are.  Through the Roof! blends in with every home and is even paintable.

According to Sashco this water- and mildew-resistant product can be used on nearly anything, including: “galvanized metal and aluminum flashing, PVC and ABS vent pipes, skylights, gutters, downspouts, ductwork, vents, chimneys, brick/block/mortar, shingles and shakes, flat roof tile, metals RV roofs.”
