RoofersCoffeeShop® Talks Roofing Respect on LocalPrenuer Podcast

Heidi J. Ellsworth discusses how RCS leverages its platform to celebrate the culture of giving back within the roofing industry. 

RCS was featured on a recent podcast episode of Vital Storm's LocalPrenuer Show discussing the positive impact of roofers within their communities and the role the Coffee Shop takes in celebrating all of the good that comes out of the industry. 

“We're [RoofersCoffeeShop] an online digital community for roofing contractors. So we help roofing contractors get their word out, help focus on the great things that they're doing in the community and bringing them all kinds of education and networking,” says Heidi. “First and foremost, RCS is a place to do business, a place to put classified ads to talk in forums to network and to learn. We focus every single day to bring the resources that roofing companies need to improve in their businesses. ” 

More than just an online resource, Heidi talks about how RCS has helped to shape and nurture the culture of the industry as a whole. RCS above all else, highlights the incredible family that the roofing industry is, and the many ways that the industry focuses on caring for their communities.  

She discusses that one of the guiding reasons RoofersCoffeeShop is focused on supporting associations and non-profit foundations is because of how strong roofers are when they are united. “Those types of organizations actually drive and help the local contractors to do more in their communities because they support them,” says Heidi. “For every non-profit within the roofing industry and exteriors, we provide free services. So they have directories on RCS, all of their events, all their publications — everything goes onto our site and we help promote all of their philanthropical pursuits,” says Heidi. “So that's kind of how we give back in our way.” 

Heidi also talks about how RCS has been instrumental in recognizing the roofing industry for all the good it does. Heidi has “fallen in love with the entire industry” and has a mission to share this passion with as many people as possible. She discusses the core values of RCS being founded on Roofing Respect. 

Part of this initiative is celebrating stories of roofers doing good deeds in their communities with our Caught Doing Good articles. This initiative promotes stories of roofing companies across the country giving back through philanthropic projects. “We are constantly focusing on the good things that contractors are doing in their companies,” says Heidi. “I think in construction those that are constantly helping don’t talk about it enough.”   

Caught Doing Good articles recognize how vital roofers are within their communities and the ways the industry leaves spaces better than they found them. From supporting veterans to what manufactures and distributers are doing to provide for those facing poverty and homelessness, Caught Doing Good celebrates the many ways the roofing industry gives back.
