By Cass Jacoby.
The National Slate Association Conference is quickly approaching and you can bet that RoofersCoffeeShop® (RCS) will be there to support one of our newest members. The conference will be in Saratoga Springs, New York, October 6- 9, 2022, the original meeting place when the first conference first took place in 2002. In addition to promoting the latest information and resources on slate in the industry, the conference will also include visits to slate quarries, the historical slate museum and plenty of festivities.
This will be the first time since the pandemic that the slate industry will have a chance to get together face to face, so get ready to enjoy a whole slate (pun intended) of industry-leading speakers like Jared Ribble of the NRCA talking on October 7 or Trent Cotney speaking on the 8th!
You also won’t want to miss out on the bar crawls, dinner cruises and museum visits sponsored by members like Be Natural, Charles F. Evans, Chicago Metal Supply, New England Slate, Heather & Little, Vintage Slate, Newmont Slate and John Stortz & Son! Make sure to stop by our booth and say hi to RoofersCoffeeShop; we can’t wait to see you there!
This is the event to be at if you are in the slate business, so you won’t want to miss out on this great opportunity to network and have fun!

About the National Slate Association
The National Slate Association is the place where Quarriers, Suppliers, Consultants and Slaters meet. Technical information is shared, and business connections are made. Camaraderie is found as we celebrate our achievements, but most important of all it is our opportunity to give back to the industry. It is our efforts in this industry that have enabled us to make livings and raise families. Now is our chance to tend to the industry; to ensure it is vibrant and strong for our successors to enjoy; to ensure that standards are kept and raised, that the trade we love is held high and respected in North America.
