Recently, RoofersCoffeeShop® (RCS) President Heidi J. Ellsworth gave a presentation on the latest advancements in metal roofing technology on an episode of METALCON Live!. There, she was joined by Mark MacDonald, sales and marketing manager of Sherwin-Williams Coil Coatings, and they both shared the exciting news about Sherwin-Williams' new MetalVue program.
Heidi and Mark discuss the work they’ve done over the years together with trying to get more contractors to specialize in metal construction. “There’s a new age out there of how to get more metal installed, more craftsmen and women and to get more installers along with getting more companies to sell it up front,” Heidi says.
Mark talks about the advantages the metal roofing industry has, specifically with technology. Other factions of the roofing industry have mastered the technology they use for sales, marketing and installation that metal contractors can take advantage of. With that in mind, he spends some time discussing Sherwin-Williams brand-new MetalVue program and how contractors can use it to sell more metal roofs.
The MetalVue program launched last month and it’s designed for anyone who wants to be in the metal industry as well as those who already are. The program offers sophisticated sales tools and communities to help contractors succeed in the metal industry. From lead generation to sales training, to online communities, MetalVue includes all the technology and resources you need to succeed in the world of metal.
“The cool part about this is that every day this progresses, we learn new things and we can build new capabilities with technology to make our customers and manufacturers’ lives easier which makes their customers’ lives easier,” Mark says.
One of the features of MetalVue is the online community of MetalCoffeeShop.com, our sister site devoted to all things metal. MetalCoffeeShop (MCS) is a great way for metal contractors and manufacturers to get important industry news on the metal industry and get connected with other industry members.
“This is a place where the metal industry can do business and find each other,” Heidi says. “If architects are looking for contractors, if contractors are looking for general contractors, if installers are looking to work with more exterior contractors, this is the place where the networking and the ability to bring that in comes together.”
