The Ronald McDonald House Charities® #CardChallenge aims to raise awareness and funds for the RMHC Chapter Emergency Response Fund, a fund set up to help Chapters experiencing severe financial hardships.
Driven by social media, the campaign is a fun, easy way to help families served by RMHC Chapters around the world while respecting social distancing practices.
To participate, take a short video or photo of you building a card house and share it on your social media channels. Make a donation if you feel so inclined and challenge your friends and family to build a bigger card house or donate to the RMHC Chapter Emergency Response Fund.
During this time of unprecedented crisis, RMHC needs help to continue to support RMHC families and its hospital partners working on the frontlines of the pandemic. Several RMHC Chapters around the world are working with hospital partners to temporarily repurpose RMHC in-hospital and mobile program spaces to provide places of respite for health care professionals who are tirelessly working to combat the pandemic. As an organization that relies on more than 536,000 volunteers and millions of donors to help deliver its mission, many RMHC Chapters are experiencing shortages because of halted volunteer programs and cancelled fundraising events resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic.
The #CardChallenge campaign will run through May 31. Learn more.
The Roofing Alliance partnered with RMHC in 2017; through the agreement, Roofing Alliance and NRCA members agree to inspect, maintain, repair and—whenever possible—replace the roofs on the 165 standalone Ronald McDonald Houses throughout the U.S.
