Replacing Roofs with Honesty, Equality, and Respect

RCS HER Roofing
April 19, 2020 at 10:00 a.m.

By Lauren White, RCS Reporter.

What you need to know about roof replacements “HER” way.

Honesty, Equality, Respect are HER Roofing’s core values.  With a passion for roofing, and more than 22 years of experience in the roofing industry, Jana Barnbrook founded HER Roofing.  This 100% woman-owned company “...helps homeowners pick the best roof style and color that will beautify their home and increase curb appeal,” shares Barnbrook.  HER Roofing also provides roof maintenance, gutter and roof cleaning, and roof repairs.

A professional speaker, wife and mother to her three children, Barnbrook has years of experience training contractors nationwide on “proper installation, specifications and contractor certifications for major manufacturers,” she explains.  She is a founding member of National Women in Roofing (NWIR), and HER Roofing is trained and certified by Green Training U.S.A., and is a RESNET EnergySmart Contractor.

Barnbrook started HER Roofing after many years in the roofing industry and she knew up front what was important.  She has focused the company on the messaging that roof replacements are critical to the health of a home and provide long-lasting protection to homeowners’ most significant investment, their home.  Barnbrook is committemd to making sure the HER Roofing team constantly provides excellent installation services and is knowledgeable about the latest materials, technologies and manufacturer warranties on products, while always putting their customers first.

With her experience working for the largest shingle manufacturers in sales, training and marketing, it was natural for Barnbrook to make the move to the contracting side of the business.  She has been able to work with homeowners, really explaining that while it may seem easier to just keep having roof repairs done, it is honestly more expensive in the long run.

Following the company motto of Honesty, Equality, Respect, Barnbrook spends exceptional time with homeowners, educating them on why getting an entire roof replacement will generally end up costing them less than continuous roof repairs.  She shares the additional benefits of having a roof replacement that go beyond cost savings. These advantages include a fresh and upgraded look, enhanced curb appeal, and increased home value, which in this time is of high importance in the real estate market.  A quality roof replacement helps homeowners get the most value out of their home when they choose to sell.

Barnbrook recently shared her expertise with a local Portland, Oregon television station.  “It's the part of your home that takes a beating from the elements. That's why your roof needs to be built to last,” concluded Barnbrook.  Providing value and performance is what HER is all about. Watch the KATU segment here
