(Malvern, Pa.) – CertainTeed® siding and roofing products were selected as brand leaders by home improvement professionals in Remodeling magazine’s 2017 Brand Use Study. Based on input from 855 residential remodelers, replacement contractors and general contractors across the nation, CertainTeed vinyl siding products and asphalt and synthetic roofing shingles enjoyed robust showings in multiple categories.
Among other questions, the survey asked pros to name which brands in 54 product categories they had heard of, which they have used in the past two years, which they use most often and which they regard as top in quality. CertainTeed swept the vinyl siding category.

In the asphalt/fiberglass roofing category, CertainTeed was rated number one for the brand used most often and for having the highest quality. And in the synthetic roofing tile category, the company was declared the winner in brand recognition, brand used in the past two years and brand used most often, while tying for tops in quality.

Remodeling magazine has conducted the survey every few years since 1992. Each time the report is issued, CertainTeed vinyl siding and roofing products have been recognized. CertainTeed insulation, decking and trim have also received nods throughout the years.
The 2017 Remodeling Brand Use Study was conducted in collaboration with The Farnsworth Group, a leading industry market research firm, and represents a sample of qualified residential remodelers, replacement contractors or residential general contractors with more than 50 percent of business as remodel/repair. In addition to the brand results, the examined firmographics include size of firm, annual revenue, new construction versus remodel/repair work, average 2016 job cost, channel supply share and the importance of factors influencing brand selection.
