Giving Back: 2018 Project Reroof
This year's recipient of our 2018 Project Reroof was First Southern Baptist Church.
The church’s congregation primarily consists of homeless persons. They offer a number of services geared towards helping those in need get back on their feet by providing shelter, food boxes, clothing, hot showers and two wholesome meals daily for upwards of fifty people.
This year's project managers were Dave Chapman and James Simmons, Chapman Coast Roof.
In memory of staff member Rebecca Keely
We were tremendously saddened to lose our beloved staff member Rebecca “Becky” Keeley this year. Becky was a huge part of our association. She loved working with RCASoCal and was always eager to help with our activities. Our association contributed $5,000 to the family of Becky. Read all about Becky's work for our association.
Other 2018 Benefits
We offered special deals, perks and promotions this year, like a 10% discount on all Roofmaster Safety Products from South Coast Shingle, a special 2018 Southern California Roofing Expo promotion, and the OMG Pick Six Challenge.
Throughout the year we circulated our RCASoCal Newsletter with important industry news, employer and business-related information, and articles on topics such as new immigration laws, opioids and safety, as well as association and member news.
