Podcasting with a purpose

EagleView Assess - Podcasting with a purpose
February 9, 2025 at 3:00 p.m.

By Emma Peterson.

EagleView’s Altitude Podcast aims to share visionary stories about the tech changing the roofing industry.

Last year, Pew Research Center reported that 42% of Americans (12 and older) listen to podcasts on a monthly basis. In 2013, that number was 12%. Podcasts and podcasting have experienced a meteoric rise in the last decade and are now a leading source of information, competing with traditional forms like television and newspapers. In this new episode of Roofing Road Trips®, Piers Dormeyer, EagleView’s CEO, stopped by to talk to Karen Edwards about the company’s new venture, “The Altitude Podcast.”

This podcast aims to explore the ways technology is transforming the industry by highlighting the visionary leaders that are changing the game. Piers shared a bit about the creation of the podcast, saying, “At EagleView, we spend a ton of time talking to customers and tech leaders and operations leaders across multiple industries. And what we tend to find is a lot of the stories are incredibly interesting, and there's a lot of the same themes that keep coming up.” By sharing these stories on the Altitude Podcast, Piers and EagleView are hoping that a variety of groups, whether it’s roofing contactors or public safety officials or someone else, can see the same patterns they are and learn how to save time and money with tech.

In reflection of that goal to reach a variety of groups and professionals in the industry, the podcast will be featuring guests of all backgrounds. Piers explained, “The first few episodes, we focused on some leaders across a variety of fields that had some specific expertise that we thought was really important. So, for example, we had leaders in solar and in marketing share about how they're being successful in the very difficult and very rapidly changing environment around solar.”
