Passing of Les Gory

Les Gory passed with his family in his home on Monday, September 30th.

He was 75. He was a loving husband to his wife of 53 years, Dallas, and together they raised three sons. The love of his family was the foundation of his being.

Les began his career in roofing as a young boy, working at the original Gory Roof Tile Plant in Miami. Les, the Gory family, Gory Associated Industries, Inc. and Gory Roof Tile, were active in FRSA and promoted the benefits of membership to all. For years, they were responsible for bringing in more new members than anyone. When Gory Roof Tile was sold, Les started G & S Building Supply and then became a manufacturers rep. under Roof Tech Sales Corp., where he retired. 

Les was the 1980 Campanella Award recipient, FRSA's highest honor. 

Les will be remember by his peers in the roofing industry as a legend because of his inspirational work ethic, selflessness and the personal touch he brought into every situation. He was a strong believer in the importance of investing in people and always proud of their accomplishments. He cherished being a mentor and was willing to impart his yearsof experience to all. 
Les is survived by his wife Dallas, his three sons, James, Michael and Christopher. 

Viewing is Thursday, October 3, 2019 from 7 - 10 p.m. at Vista Memorial Gardens, 14200 NW 57th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014.  

The mass is 11 a.m. on Friday, October 4, 2019 at Our Lady of the Lakes Catholic Church, 15801 NW 67th Ave, Miami Lakes, FL 33014. 

Burial to follow at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Cemetery, 11411 NW 25th Street, Miami, FL 33172
