Owens Corning Roofing is making its Class 4 TruDefinition® Duration FLEX® and Duration STORM shingles available in more U.S. regions. The expansion of markets served meets growing demand for high-performance shingles in high storm regions across many parts of America.
TruDefinition® Duration STORM® and/or Duration FLEX® shingles are now available to contractors and homeowners in more than 35 states including the Irving and Memphis plant service areas. TruDefinition® Duration STORM® impact-resistant shingles combine SureNail technology for grip and feature patented WeatherGuard® Technology. The integrated polymeric backing material of the WeatherGuard® Technology allows Duration STORM® shingles to meet one of the industry's highest ratings for impact resistance, UL 2218, Class 4.
Also featuring the UL 2218 Class 4 impact rating and now available in the Irving area, TruDefinition® Duration FLEX® shingles are the only roofing option on the market to combine the resilience of SBS polymer modified asphalt with the hold of SureNail® Technology.1 A combination of flexibility and grip helps the shingles to withstand weather elements, including up to 130-MPH wind resistance2, storm debris, and summer and winter temperature swings.
Recent polling suggests that a shingle’s ability to withstand nature’s elements is an important consideration in markets across the U.S. “When weather hits, you want the confidence that your home’s roof is going to perform and help protect what matters most,” said Nicole Howe, Product Leader of Regional Speciality Shingles at Owens Corning. “Expanded market availability of TruDefinition® Duration FLEX® shingles allows us to support residential roofing markets across Tennessee and Texas with shingles that blend performance and beauty.”
Beyond standing up to the elements, TruDefinition® Duration FLEX® shingles offer a range of dimensional colors, including “classic” shades and “vibrant” colors.
