This template is meant for contractors to pick out the parts of the template that pertain to their company, to develop their own policies that work for them.

Section one covers those items which all employers are supposed to include in their safety program, but which do not necessarily require training of employees. These items include the following:

12. Hand and Power Tools
13. Housekeeping
14. Material Storage and Disposal
15. Motor Vehicles and Powered Industrial Equipment (skid steers, etc.)
16. Distracted Driving
17. Distracted Working
18. Falling Object Protection
19. Fire Protection and Prevention
20. Flammable and Combustible Liquids
21. Confined Spaces
22. Access to Medical and Exposure Records

Section three covers those items which require safety rules and training, but which may not be present on all roofing sites. These items include the following:

1. Aerial lifts
2. Scaffolding (including scissors lifts)
3. Cranes
4. Welding, Cutting and Brazing
5. Coal Tar Pitch Volatiles
6. Illumination
7. Noise
8. Demolition
9. Asbestos
10. Respirable Crystalline Silica
11. Hot Work with Kettles
