In the Read Listen Watch® (RLW) webinar “24/7 Smart Material Ordering,” host Karen Edwards sat down with Will Barber from Beacon and Mike Larkin from EagleView to discuss the latest partnership between the two brands in creating the Smart Order feature for the Beacon PRO+ platform. This new software feature allows users to save significant time, money and labor when it comes to ordering and tracking building materials for contractors.
Beacon PRO+ is an eCommerce platform designed to offer contractors an online, 24/7 connection to their local Beacon branch through which they can order and manage the necessary building materials for any of their upcoming projects. Will shared, “We can show you all of your old invoices, we can let you order materials, we can let you do any number of things. Users can pull documents and look at storm reports 24 hours a day, seven days a week. There is no off switch for e-commerce, and that's the beauty of it.”
The new Smart Order feature takes these capabilities a step further, integrating EagleView’s highly accurate aerial measurement and data capturing capabilities into this self-service portal. Now, not only can customers order materials, but they can use EagleView’s technology to get an accurate measure of a project specs and order the exact amount of materials without needing to do any extra outside calculations.
Mike emphasized the positive impact this can have for roofing contractors who are using the platform and maximizing their profits by cutting down on the guessing and over-ordering of materials. He shared, “It's really been amazing how much easier and more accurate technology has become. It's really helped the roofers scale their business to be more profitable.”
