The executive committee members were together in Denver, Colorado working on their strategic plan for the coming year. You can watch the video here to meet the committee or scroll down to read the transcript below.
Ellen Thorp: Hi. I'm Ellen Thorp, the Executive Director of National Women in Roofing. I'm here with the executive committee of the association. I've locked them in a conference room in downtown Denver for the past couple of days. The executive committee gets together a handful of times a year to do a strategic planning and preparation for the association. The executive committee of National Women in Roofing fulfills a lot of the roles that are traditionally filled by staff and other associations. They are on the phone weekly with each other and then a few times a year we get together in person to sort of plan what's coming up next. We are really excited. We've been doing a lot of talking today about association functions and programs and of course National Women in Roofing day, which is scheduled for February 2nd in Dallas, Texas. I'm going to have them introduce themselves.
Jennifer Stone: Hi there. I'm Jennifer Stone and I'm with Johns Manville and I am the chair this year of National Women in Roofing and this is our executive board.
Renee Bales: Hi, I'm Renee Bales from KPost Company in Dallas.
Jennifer Stone: You're the vice chair.
Renee Bales: Oh, I'm the vice chair.
Jennifer Stone: That's good.
Michelle Boykin: Hi, I'm Michelle Boykin. I'm with Rackley Roofing out of Nashville, Tennessee and I'm on the executive committee.
Shari Carlozzi: Hi, I'm Shari Carlozzi and with Tremco WTI Safety Solutions team. I'm from Youngstown, Ohio, and I am the past chair of National Women in Roofing.
Ellen Thorp: So it's so been so fun to be with these ladies for the past couple days, and you are ever present in our mind as we think about building this association with you and for you. So stay tuned for our October newsletter edition that we'll share some additional items that are upcoming for the association. And thanks for stopping by to say hi.
Renee Bales: And thanks for checking out the newsletter.
Ellen Thorp: Yeah, read the newsletter.
Shari Carlozzi: Bye.
