After a hailstorm severely damaged the Casa Esperanza facility, Chrisann Gray, Casa Esperanza's executive director, gave National Roofing Business Development Officer Lori Gunnare a tour of the facility.
"The linen was destroyed, the carpet was ruined and the walls were saturated with water," Gunnare says. "There were families displaced from the storm, and that's when I realized all the good they do ... and that's what inspired me to think what we can do to help out."
It was an emotional moment when Gunnare presented Gray with the donation during National Roofing's holiday employee appreciation event.
"There is a special place in my heart for National Roofing and their employees and for the difference they make in our communities," Gray says. "National Roofing helping the most vulnerable in the community is just overwhelming."
National Roofing worked closely with strategic partner Ridgeline Supply, Albuquerque, to further Casa Esperanza's efforts to house families referred to Albuquerque for assistance, regardless of their financial situations.
"The team at Ridgeline Supply is privileged to have the opportunity to help Casa Esperanza, an organization that blesses our community," says Travis Cunningham, Ridgeline Supply's general manager.
