November 2019 is a Time for Thanks

National Women in Roofing Chair Jennifer Stone shares thoughts on thankfulness in the November 2019 newsletter.

Hello November Newsletter readers! The best thing about November is that we are forced and reminded to take pause and be thankful for the things around us. I'm thankful for that, number one. It's something that's been weighing heavily on my heart lately. Not because I'm good at it, because I need to get better at it. We all know, or it'd only take a quick Google search, to see what being thankful and having gratitude does to our mind, body, and spirit. You can also Google Brene' Brown or read the Bible. It's everywhere.

Gratitude changes who we are. It changes how we feel about things and how we feel about ourselves. So be kind to yourself this November. Remember that most everyone watching/reading this, if not all, has a roof over their head. And also, as people think about what they're thankful and grateful for this whole month of November, it's a roof over their head, and we're part of that, and that's a good thing. And we need to continue to express how grateful we are for our industry, our jobs and each other. So happy November, happy Thanksgiving. Take a moment to be kind and be grateful and see how it changes your life.
