Q & A with IB Roof Systems on New Line of Premium Acrylic and Silicone Coatings

RoofersCoffeeShop® sat down with IB Roof Systems CEO Jason Stanley for a preview of their new acrylic and silicone coatings offering.

Throughout the years, IB Roof Systems has seen a lot of changes in low slope roofing and as roof restoration demand increases across the industry, what’s remained consistent, is IB’s commitment to providing customers with the highest quality products, exceptional service and technical expertise.

As the company launches their Acrylic and Silicone Coatings offering at the 2020 International Roofing Expo™ (IRE), Feb. 4-6, at Kay Bailey Hutchinson Convention Center, RoofersCoffeeShop sat down with CEO, Jason Stanley, to hear about their new acrylic and silicone coatings offering.  

Why now? Why roll-out a coatings offering at this time?

We continually look for innovative ways to help our customers grow their business. Whether that’s through customized training, ongoing education or by offering a more seamless and streamlined experience when choosing our many product offerings. We’ve had countless opportunities to take on a coatings company or add a coating line, but until now, those opportunities fell short from meeting our quality standards. As roof restoration demand increases across the industry, we couldn’t be more proud of the team we’ve assembled to produce these products and put the IB Roof Systems name on the pail.

How do IB Roof Systems Coatings differ from those on the market today?

Our industry is overpopulated with products that claim superiority but in actuality, we’ve seen a void in the quality of coatings products on the market today. As with our existing product line, we’ve been working alongside our manufacturing center to bring a coatings offering that exceeds our IB standard for quality. Through state-of-the-art equipment and stringent quality control measures, we ensure that the products produced in our facilities throughout the United States, meet the superior standards upon which we have built a reputation for excellence since 1978. More simply put, our coatings offering is the best on the market today.

How did you come up with the line-up of Coatings products?

We took a close look at the many roofing surfaces and developed the solutions from there. From water leaks and cool-roof reflectivity, to complete roof restorations, our line-up of coatings products perform many critical functions and maintenance for a building.  We now offer a coatings solution for almost every roofing surface.

Why is this a perfect marriage between Coatings and PVC?

Adding innovative roofing products to the IB family of products allows us to continue to support our customers. Manufacturing superior roofing products has always been the focus of IB Roof Systems’ and adding a coatings line that our customers can depend on was the goal.

Who will manufacture IB Roof Systems Coatings? Where will you distribute your Coatings products from?

Our coating line is manufactured in the U.S. at a plant that provides IB Roof Systems with the best quality and production available. We will warehouse and distribute initially from our Dallas Distribution Center, and expand throughout 2020 once we determine customer buying patterns and establish stocking levels at our other four national distribution centers.

When will customers be able to start placing orders? And, what is the anticipated shipping timing?

Customers can begin placing orders February 2020. Please allow a few days depending on your location to get products from our Dallas distribution center. Our hope is to get stock levels built up quickly and provide the same level of service to our IB Roof Systems customers as we do with our PVC product line.
