New and Improved Ways to Mount Solar Modules and Snow Guards

S-5! New from S-5!
February 23, 2023 at 6:00 a.m.

By Evelyn Witterholt.

S-5!® now offers an easy way to mount snow guards for insulated metal panel roofs (IMPs) and an improved version of their popular solar mounting solution.

Since 1992, S-5! has been a leading manufacturer in metal roof attachments. Not only are they well known for producing products that are meant to last, but they also strive to improve their already popular mounting systems. Recently, the company announced two new offerings to their customers, one a brand-new product, the other an addition to their popular line of solar mounting systems.

Here are the new and improved products by S-5! :

SnoBracket™

Responding to the increased popularity of IMPss, S-5! created a snow guard mounting system specific to trapezoidal-ribbed IMPs. Their new SnoBracket™ is an ideal snow retention solution with durable, tested, watertight and proven performance. It makes snow guard installation easier without any thermal bridging, providing the incredible strength required for snow retention applications with “sheet-only” attachments. The brackets are compatible with S-5!’s ColorGard® snow retention systems and are available in two sizes to fit most trapezoidal metal panel profiles.

PVKIT® modification

S-5!’s PVKIT® is one of their most popular solar products and one of the best ways to mount solar directly onto metal roofs, no rails needed! It is available in a black architectural anodizing, which is aesthetically pleasing. Their top bolt, which used to be mill-finish, is now black as well, which helps the roof achieve a cleaner and more seamless look. This is great news for customers who love the combined look of solar and metal and want their roofs to be as sleek and low-profile as possible.
