MRCA Awards Recognize Talent Amongst Roofing Professionals

MRCA - Awards
September 14, 2019 at 6:00 p.m.

By Lauren White, RCS Reporter.

Honoring those making significant impacts and improvements in the industry.

The Midwest Roofing Contractors Association (MRCA) wants to recognize roofing professionals for their impact and unique contributions to the industry.  MRCA member companies can be nominated for one of two awards, the Impact Award or the Industry Innovation Award.

MRCA Impact Award

Companies dedicated to serving others and improving the well-being of individuals or communities can be nominated for this award.  Their philanthropy or community service can be demonstrated at either the local or national level.

Contributions in the form of a gift or service need to have been performed between September 1 of the previous year and September 1 of this year.  Nominate a deserving company for the MRCA Impact Award.

MRCA Industry Innovation Award

This is a way to honor suppliers or manufacturers who are helping to advance the roofing industry via innovations or product developments.  These contributions should be related to one of the following categories: safety, technology, efficiency, or environment. Additionally, according to the MRCA award page, they should “...significantly [improve] the well-being of the roofing contractor.”

The innovation or product needs to have been developed or introduced into the market between May 1, 2018 and April 30, 2019.  MRCA Industry Innovation Award nominations are still being accepted.

There is no cost to nominate a company for either award.  Submissions are due by October 1st. Winners will be presented their awards at the 2019 MRCA Conference and Expo November 20-22 in Overland Park, Kansas.

It’s not too late to nominate a company, supplier, or manufacturer for going above and beyond.  Whether they are making contributions locally, nationally, or industry wide, it’s important to recognize the talent and compassion roofing professionals have for others.

How an Award Can Help Your Business

Awards instill a sense of accomplishment, but they also can help your business in many other ways.  They help build company culture because your crews are proud of what they do and where they work. Sharing your accomplishments with the world makes employees feel proud and respected, thus boosting morale.  Additionally, winning awards are great for press releases, blogs, and other media coverage, which will help your sales and marketing. They also validate your business and the quality of work you produce in the eyes of customers.  Awards differentiate your company from others by reinforcing the quality of your achievements and services compared to competitors. They show you provide quality work and have employees who are dedicated to giving back, being creative, and improving safety and efficiency, among other things, which only benefits your reputation.

Submit your nomination for an Impact Award and Innovation Award today!
